“Since I was younger, I wanted to bake. As a kid I used to buy the ready to make boxes and then decided I really wanted to learn how to do things from scratch. The first time I made a cake here, there was only a thin piece left the next day. It was a hit. I’d like to continue baking as my focus, you never grow if you stay in one area. I’d like to expand in the future. Speed and accuracy in catering orders was really important. In the program, you get to learn stuff about yourself that you didn’t know. It’s easier for me to speak up. I was shy before and now I can speak up.”
