Running sustainable social enterprises is one of the three tenets of our re-envisioned mission statement.

We have a strong management staff with deep restaurant and culinary experience. We are an active member of Catalyst Kitchens, a national alliance of food based social enterprises addressing joblessness, poverty and hunger. We are a recipient of both monetary and technical support from REDF (The Roberts Enterprise Development Fund), a pioneering venture philanthropy that creates jobs and transforms lives by investing exclusively in social enterprises focused on employment.

The greatest daily challenge we have in our social enterprise businesses is growing revenue while managing expanding job training. Training which is situated in a fully functioning business provides a real-time experience for our trainees, which is invaluable in realizing their employment goals. It allows an individual to truly understand the requirements and culture of an operating hospitality venue and how they might fit into the industry in their future. It also provides programmatic challenges.
