Position Summary
The Data Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping Forge City Works’ data strategy, culture, and capacity. This position is responsible for managing the design, implementation, and maintenance of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database system and related tools, reports, and dashboards. You will lead the development of tools and training necessary to implement our data strategy effectively. Your primary focus will be on driving performance management using data and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) to various stakeholders. Additionally, you will train and coach staff at all levels in developing data entry skills, fostering a data-informed culture.

- Data Strategy Development: Develop and refine the organization’s data strategy, align it with mission goals, and foster a data-driven culture. Establish frameworks for data governance, quality, and privacy.
- Tool and Training Development: Identify and implement data collection tools and systems. Develop training programs to enhance staff capacity in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Performance Management: Lead performance management using data-driven insights. Define KPIs, monitor performance data, and collaborate on action plans.
- Reporting and Communication: Generate regular KPI reports and communicate data-driven findings to stakeholders. Support grant and funding applications with data-driven evidence

- Develop staff training programs for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Ensure seamless integration of data-related tools and processes.
- Performance Management:
- Use data insights for performance management.
- Define and monitor KPIs and benchmarks.
- Collaborate with program managers on data-driven action plans.
- Reporting and Communication:
- Generate and communicate regular KPI and program performance reports.
- Support grant applications with data evidence.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Three years of hands-on experience in database management and analytics. Some managerial experience preferred.
- Familiarity with nonprofit program management and evaluation frameworks preferred.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary range: $65,000 – $80,000
