Dear Friends,

At Forge City Works we are seeing the positive signs of people returning to the city with increased foot traffic in the Kitchen café and catering. We are excited to see old friends and make new.  And we are even more excited to see our programs continue to evolve and have a positive impact.

The board and I are so proud of the Forge City Works’ staff and their continued focus and impact they have made despite the many challenges we have faced during the pandemic, in particular the passing of our founding Executive Director, Cary Wheaton.

The Forge City Works Board of Directors has appointed Becky McGuigan as Interim Executive Director as we engage with an outside firm to aid in our recruitment of a new Executive Director.

We are confident Becky will continue to build on the solid foundation that she along with other staff, partners and funders has set. She has been a critical member of  Forge City Works for close to twelve years, has worked across the organization in a range of roles, and is a creative culinary professional committed to creating opportunities to help people change their lives using the power of food.

Thank you for your continued support of our Food for Good mission. Be sure to mark your calendars and join us for year’s virtual Farm To Forge, Sept. 23rd.

Warmest regards,

Jahn Marie Surette
Board Chair, Forge City Works
