In July 2021, the Forge City Works Board of Directors announced the beginning of an Executive Director search to identify the next leader of Forge City Works. After an extensive search process led by Koya Consulting and members of the board, we are pleased to share with you that Benjamin Dubow has been selected as Executive Director beginning March 7th, 2022.

Ben’s experience includes both years as an executive chef and leading non-profit work. Ben helped develop and launch the culinary jobs training program at MACC Charities in Manchester, CT. While at MACC, Ben also launched their social enterprise award winning restaurant Bistro on Main. Previous executive chef roles have included Blue Plate Kitchen (West Hartford), Burtons Grill & Bar (South Windsor) and Emerson Inn by the Sea (Rockport, MA). Most recently Ben has been a restaurant consultant with Sysco, helping restaurants navigate the through COVID-19, labor challenges and supply chain issues.

His culinary expertise, leadership skills, commitment to racial and social equity, and experience with the organization’s partners make him an exceptional individual for the role of Executive Director. We are confident that under his leadership the organization’s success and impact in achieving its Food for Good mission will continue to flourish.
