Forge City Works is amongst the first round of grant recipients of the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving’s COVID-19 Response Fund.
The fund provides flexible resources to organizations throughout the region that serve who are disproportionately impacted by coronavirus and the economic consequences of the outbreak.
As many of you know, The Kitchen cafes provide hands-on culinary and customer service training for about 50 individuals a year and generate about half of our organizational budget. The $75,000 grant will provide operating support to replace lost revenue due to COVID-19.
With their support, we will continue to use food to change lives and create opportunities.
