The Farmers’ Market on Broad Street brings locally sourced food to the Hartford community. All food is grown and made in Connecticut by rural farmers, urban farmers, and chefs alike. The Market is situated on the green, adjacent to Firebox Restaurant on Broad Street, and operated by Forge City Works. It is open June through October, on Thursdays from 11 AM until 2 PM.
Use your SNAP/EBT and we will give you double the farmers market money that you swiped for. You can then use your SNAP and the additional market money to buy fruits, vegetables, and take home food from local vendors. A little goes a long way at our market when you use SNAP! Other forms of payment accepted: cash, credit/debit, WIC, and senior vouchers.
